Former CIA analyst alleges China-Saudi nuclear deal

blog.washingtonpost.com

A former CIA officer who managed intelligence reports on Saudi Arabia has sent an uncleared manuscript to congressional offices claiming that China supplied nuclear missiles to the kingdom early in the George W. Bush administration.

Scherck, who became convinced that the White House was covering up the China-Saudi nuclear connection so as not to damage relations with a major U.S. ally and oil supplier, said he formed his conclusions while reading intelligence reports from Riyadh during his 18 months on “the Saudi account” in the Near East Division between 2005 and 2007, as well as talking with other CIA personnel in contact with the Bush White House.

Should they decide to bring democracy to Iran, they should perhaps also make a stop in Saudi-Arabia. The Saudi Royal house is no better than the Iranian regime, yet they are allowed to do whatever they wish without a problem. Back in 2004, German intelligence already indicated that the Saudi's were working on obtaining nuclear warheads.

It is said that Saudi-Arabia funded the Pakistani nuclear program and this report indicates that China (and Pakistan) also have a joint ballistic missile development program.

Saudi-Arabia is a friend of the West right? I rather think they are an enemy that is siding with terrorists, China and they must have some pretty good leverage to be able to keep us hostage and I don't think that this leverage is oil. There's gotta be something else.

China wields overwhelming economic leverage against the United States. If we are to confront China on an issue such as this we could be sure that they would hold us to the wall economically. We can't challenge them militarily as that would be M.A.D.

China just barred our military chief from visiting as they do not want us to know about the strength of their military which according to many experts is very large. They are expected within 5 years to have military equipment such as airplanes that are just as powerful as our own.

And the reason we have not dared to challenge Saudi Arabia on this issue is oil and geopolitical relations. Saudi Arabia is not an enemy of Israel, nor is it an ally. They have mostly remained neutral on Israeli relations. We need Saudi Arabia as a counterweight to Iran in the region. Iran is our enemy since they won't let our multinational corporations invade and extract their oil. We must also maintain healthy relations with Beijing and Riyadh for corporate reasons.

If this is true this is a very bad situation, since we all know what the Saudi's are capable of. This is why I hate politics though... our enemies can do nothing, our friends can do whatever they please. But we all know how friends can turn on us.

The Saudi Royal house is no better than the Iranian regime,
The Saudi Royal house is far worse than the Iranian regime. Iran is often described in the west as a theocracy, but this isn't strictly true. In fact the mullahs do not actually rule, but rather, in line with the Iranian constitution, assure that any laws passed by the democratically elected govt do not contravene Islamic law. Now, I realise that this is a fine distinction, but it is important, because in Iran there is a degree of democracy. We cannot know for sure just how corrupt the democratic process is (without going & living there ourselves), because the only info coming out & the MSM contribution is propaganda. However, we can know that there are elections in Iran that have produced a govt that is very popular in poor rural regions.
Not so in Saudi Arabia, which is a curious mix of absolute monarchy & a nepotistic pseudo-corporate structure, characterised by personal corruption & internal struggles for power & influence.
I'd be far more worried about a nuclear armed Saudi autocrat than such weapons in the hands of those who must submit the decision to use them to strict Islamic law, which would preclude a 1st strike.
Actually, I dont believe this story anyway. It makes no sense for China to arm Saudi Arabia with an independent nuclear deterrent. The fact that they are dependent on the USA for security suits China just fine, because it means that, in order to guarantee Saudi oil, the USA must maintain a cripplingly expensive presence in the ME.

I think it's POSSIBLE they did... if they miscalculated and made a geopolitical error. I don't think China would be that dumb... but it's possible.

The report says ``early in Bush administration``, which could mean 2003. What Bush did in 2003? Invade Iraq ``for the oil``... what do Saudi Arabia have a truckload of? OIL.

What could have the Chinese thought? Ah yes... this crazy bastard Bush made up stuff to invade Iraq for the oil, couldn't he do the same for Saudi Arabia? So let's give them nukes so the US don't control all the middle-east oil now shall we?

If they really did this, they made a big mistake... Saudi Arabia is a US puppet, especially with the Bushes... so giving nukes to a US puppet is clearly stupid.

Chances of China doing such a mistake... very low.

The situation which is more likely if China did gave Saudi Arabia nukes... Saudi Arabia have lots of oil... and the majority of 9/11 alleged terrorists came from there... so the logic conclusion... the US is gonna invade Saudi Arabia... and take the oil at the same time... So China thought of blocking this by giving them nukes... but of course another miscalculation there since Saudi Arabia are US puppets.

But maybe on the moment they thought it was a clever move... who knows.

The Bushs have always been close to the Saudis. The House of Bush and the House of Saud. Go together like bread and butter.

This wouldn't surprise me, and it's printed in the MSM too.

Maybe premonition for a false flag?

Well, I agree there seems to be a twisted logic here, but only if we believe the simplified version of the story: that the USA did in fact go into Iraq for the oil. However, the Chinese know full well that the USA invaded to stop Iraq selling oil for €uros, a move which encouraged other countries to do similar & many more to reduce their holdings of US$s in favour of the €uro. The effect of this was the devaluation of the US$, which is critical to the US economy because it is so heavily dependent on cheap foreign goods.
No, it makes no sense at all. Especially when you think that everything else China has done has been geared towards economic placement on the world stage.

No.

They're not going to invade Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia makes deals and thereby protected from the interventionist "fate" that affects other countries like Iraq and Iran. For now.

This certainly puts a whole new geopolitical spin on things, particularly some relationships between the Bush family and Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia and China.

A nuclearly armed Saudi Arabi could also put quite the kabosh on the "excuse" by certain factions against Iran.

This story deserves more attention here. I'd love to see it moved to the Political Conspiracy forum or something.
